Poolside Palm Springs Wedding at Ace Hotel | Sathya & Landon

When I think of a couple destined for each other, it’s Sathya and Landon. A modern, self-made woman with her own financial planning business finding her match. The CEO of Hundred Acres wine, who respects and appreciates her. A powerhouse of a couple, successful in their own right, uniting their lives together in love. Here are a few of my favorite moments from their story and their poolside Palm Springs wedding.

The Couple

You would think having a couple dates and then two months later a global pandemic starting would be a risky way to start a relationship. Not for these two. They not only went on lockdown, but locked down their relationship immediately. If you can get through a global pandemic together, I’m pretty sure you can get through anything. These two came a long way in their personal journeys and relationships, this being both of their second marriages. They knew over the year in lockdown that the inner work they both did really paid off. They kicked off their engagement in Mexico City with food, wine and culture; three very important details to the framework of their relationship. 

Cultural Elements

Beautiful elements of their culture were sprinkled throughout this poolside Palm Springs wedding. It clearly meant a lot to them and reflected in everyone’s faces throughout the night. Everything started at Ace Hotel. They had a sweet ceremony filled with smiles and happy tears right by the pool and surrounded by trees. This helped to keep the ceremony private and intimate. Sathya is Buddhist and wanted to include a few special touches of that during the ceremony. For example, the burning of incense and cleansing with sage. Their friends also placed crystals in a circle where Sathya and Landon would stand. Afterwards, everyone retreated to the perfect indoor/outdoor area for cocktail hour and the reception. Sathya is also Cambodian, so they surprised guests with Cambodian ballet dancers before dinner was served. I’m such a sucker for unique wedding entertainment, so this was a highlight of the evening.

Wedding Day Moments

The beautiful moments were plentiful at this poolside Palm Springs wedding. Sathya and Landon truly appreciated creativity when it came to their wedding, and it showed. For instance, the live music they had could cater to anyone. From a string quartet, a British club DJ to a Classic Rock duo, you could tell music was important to them. Making sure every vibe was curated perfectly was a top priority. The decorations were also so intentionally selected. Their florist actually went so far as to collect a tumbleweed off the side of the road. Then, brilliantly incorporated it into a stunning arrangement that hung from the ceiling over the dance floor. The food, all the way from hors d’oeuvres to the main course, was colorful, bright and imaginative, just like Sathya and Landon’s relationship.

All in All…

The amount of joy and love in this room was unimaginable. You could tell that this was the relationship they had both been waiting for. They were truly grateful for every moment spent together and all the moments they had yet to experience. Their wedding weekend closed out with a giant pool party and brunch on Sunday afternoon. Everyone could just be together, relax, and reminisce on an extremely fun poolside palm springs wedding.
