In a private community, down a few flights of stairs and tucked around a corner, you’ll find the famous Victoria Beach Pirate Tower. I had never been here before but was stoked to meet Deanna and Alex here for their engagement photos! They both love the beach, Deanna having grown up nearby and Alex loving to surf as many mornings as possible.
It’s important to note, this location requires a photo permit and is closed when the tide is high – so if you’re loving this spot, keep those two things in mind!
Mutual friends of Deanna and Alex set them up on a double-date when they originally thought they were going to a party! Their friends obviously knew what a match D+A would be. They’re the type of couple who easily melts into each others arms without hesitation. They’re playful with each other and that added an adorably fun element to their engagement session.
Alex introduced me to the super quaint Spanish inspired hotel down the street for the 2nd half of their shoot. They did well in booking a night stay here so they could continue their evening together! I’m always recommending couples to make a date night out of their engagement photo shoot. The reason being, you’re already spending the day getting dressed up for the shoot and you’re likely going to be away from home. Instead of rushing back to your bed, book a hotel nearby, make some dinner reservations, and really soak into the beauty of your time together!
