Joshua Tree Engagement

Boom. This color in the desert = magic. Love Joshua Tree engagements and this one is no exception.

Joanne and Brenton met on a blind date about 6 years ago. Joanne had just gotten back from a trip with her sister, so the jet lag was taking over her usual cheery mood. Luckily, Brenton noticed and walked down the street to buy her a red bull so their date could go on.

The fact that he didn’t mind her sleepiness and had the heart to go buy her something to wake up in the middle of a blind date made her realize what a kind, huge heart Brent has! They’ve been together ever since.

The proposal story is SO cute. Joanne was heading into grad school, so they planned a two week Euro trip to spend some time together before the madness ensued. Their favorite thing is to explore new places, and Joanne had felt the proposal might happen on the trip, so she was waiting for it! Haha.

Brent didn’t propose then. (Good job catching her off guard, man). The proposal ended up happening during winter break of her grad school, when they road tripped from Vegas to the Grand Canyon, with a final destination at Horseshoe Bend. He popped the question overlooking that magnificent view — a perfect spot for their official engagement to begin!

Their mix of loving the outdoors + travel landed us in Joshua Tree. WE HAD TOO MUCH FUN. You’ll see 😉
