DTLA Valentine Wedding for Kathleen & Greg

If you’ve seen any of Kathleen and Greg’s wedding photos at this point, you know that they are a classy and fun couple with friends who are ready to get down at any moment. Both ambitious individuals, they live by the “word hard, play hard” mantra and it definitely shows. From Kathleen’s Inbal Dror Wedding Gown that mimicked a classy suit top (badass much?) to Greg’s custom suit with Gucci slippers, these two drip with fashion forward style.

DTLA Valentine: Location, Location, Location

Technically, the couple chose neighboring wedding venues The Valentine and The Grassroom for a house-party meets romantic wedding vibe. We meandered between a tropical ceremony space, into a refined dining space for the delicious dinner from Made by Meg Catering, back under the disco balls in a tropical oasis for dancing and used the outdoor spaces between the two for a breath of fresh air and late night bites. One of the standout features of the DTLA Valentine is its iconic outdoor courtyard. Enclosed by ivy-covered walls, this charming oasis is an ideal spot for a romantic ceremony, which is exactly what Kathleen and Greg did. The juxtaposition of tropical nature against the urban backdrop creates a magical atmosphere that is both refreshing and intimate. The venue is highly adaptable to suit your wedding vision. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a grand soirée, DTLA Valentine Wedding Venue can accommodate pretty much any vision you have for your wedding day.

An Unconventional Color Palette

Pink, fuschia, and blush, meet periwinkle and emerald green. Throw in an epic hanging disco ball installation over the dance floor and you have created the most joyful design a wedding has seen. With the help and artistic vision of Debby from Amber Events and excellent floral artistry by Inessa Nichols Design, the ambiance at this wedding was joyful, bright and ready for a wild party. AND party they did! We stayed to capture everything from wandering musicians on the dance floor, Kathleen’s outfit change into a feathery short second party dress, a (fake) tattoo station and late night bites from none other than Habitat Burger.

Kathleen & Greg came to show OUT. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer to tell your love story like the photos below… let’s chat
