Laura & I have been friends for over 12 years now – and boy do we have some stories to tell. Together, we’ve road-tripped through California, explored Italy, been skydiving, spent countless hours sleepless for the sake of adventure and basically said “yes” to everything that’s ever crossed our paths. We were the bff’s who would sit outside in the rain and eat ice cream, just because we are the type of people who dance in the rain instead of waiting for the storm to pass. It’s amazing to know that after 12 years of friendship, we’ve managed to marry our soulmates who live life the same way we’ve always loved too & who said yes when asked if they’d be down to shoot in the rain.

To be honest, the plan wasn’t always to shoot in the rain. We were expecting that gorgeous Santa Barbara sunset glow, but we were gifted with something much more magical – FOG & RAIN!!! Can you believe these photos were taken in Santa Barbara?!

David & Laura have a love for traveling and recently went on a trip to Norway, where they fell in love with the forest, the cold & the overall ambiance. I love that these photos seem like they came out of a magical, faraway place, like Norway!

Thirty minutes into our session, the drops turned from rain to down-pour!

Loki, their hair-matching red poodle, joined in on the fun! There is only so much freezing cold rain we could stand without having raincoats, so, we ran the cold, short hike back to the car and stopped for some much needed coffee 🙂

People who are always down for an adventure are my kind of people. No wonder I love having these gems in my life!
