European Style Wedding
Were we in Italy? Maybe the South of France? Or in my wildest dream? Ya’ll, Mackie and Dave chose the most elegant European style venue in the hills of Malibu to get married. It’s privately owned in a mansion residential area, which makes me feel like eventually my dreams of owning an Italian villa can totally happen.
My heart was beating so fast this day with overwhelm (the good kind), not only because of the space, but because Mackie and Dave are an absolute dream to be around. They are those people you meet and know they get along with every person alive because they’re genuinely that kind, warm, and embracing of everyone.
Per freaking usual, I got to work with my babes over at Fawn Events for this one. Not only can they create any sort of magical ambiance, they rock at making sure the day flows without any issues. They’re my #1 <3
Wedding Experience
Since their families flew in from Australia and Milwaukee, they wanted the experience to be top notch for everyone. Family was shuttled up to the property, greeted with the most gorg view of Malibu. Post-ceremony, everyone was served champagne (duh) while M+D’s parents gave toasts to the couple. They made sure to get group photos with everyone, had the craziest beautiful choreographed first dance and then got wild for the reception. M+D said goodbye to every single person who came before capping off their night. I mean, yes this day is about them, but they made it about their people and that warms my heart.
Mackie asked to have a first look with her dad. THOSE DAMN TEARS HAVE ME TEARING UP AGAIN! Can we please do this more?
After their ceremony, both Mackie and David’s dad’s gave champagne toasts. Mackie’s dad wrote a rad poem to his daughter that made us ALL ball our eyes out, while David’s dad had us cracking up.
