For Ashley and Tim’s engagement session, I took them to one of my FAVORITE spots in Joshua Tree. Keys View lookout point is one of those spots where you can stare in awe at how creative nature is. We’re in the depths of the desert, yet simultaneously at the top of a canyon. The landscape changes from dirt and Joshua Trees, to rugged rock structures. The sunset here is jaw-dropping and the intimacy of the place makes it for a perfect engagement backdrop.
I have so much respect and admiration for these two. Ashley and Tim were one of my first couples to postpone their wedding. With one month left, they chose their family’s health and well being over the big day they had planned, and they did so with SO MUCH GRACE! Being that love is not cancelled, they legally married on 4/4/2020 via a zoom ceremony with all their closest friends and family in virtual attendance. They were even featured on the news! You can see it here 😉
Before we met, Ashley shared with me that she and Tim were set up by a mutual friend (who is also their officiant)! Tim was living in Los Angeles at the time, while Ashley was up in SF, and the two dated long-distance for 8 months before they couldn’t be apart anymore. Now they enjoy living in the beautiful city of San Francisco as a married couple and I feel SO lucky that I get to capture their celebration next year in Palm Springs.
