I think about this laid-back beach wedding at The Pearl often. I remember feeling like an 8th bridesmaid, part of the family, teary eyed when the speeches ended, full of enthusiasm and mischievousness when egging people to jump into the pool. It felt like Bri and Ryan had been long lost friends. The truth is, they have collected some wonderful people into their lives + this ridiculously fun celebration proved that. Their day started slowly at The Pearl, moved over to a private cove in San Diego for a super laid-back ceremony, and ended with all the guests jumping in the pool (#GOALS).
I know I blog a billion photos, but it’s because I hold onto all the little moments from the day. I want YOU to see what and how I love to capture a wedding day… I might curate the details but I can’t curate these emotions, or the expressions on their faces, or the excitement of the day.
Bri and Ryan met around the summer of 2010 when Bri was out in San Diego visiting her friend. Ryan *unfortunately* had a girlfriend, but lucky for them both, when Bri made the move from NYC to SD, he was single + they hit it off almost immediately. Ryan uncharacteristically woke up at the buttcrack of dawn one holiday-break morning in 2017 and asked Bri to marry him with an inscription on San Diego beachy shores.
