Coachella Inspired, Palm Springs Wedding at La Quinta Country Club  // Lauren & Niles

For a couple who met at Coachella Music Festival, a Coachella inspired, Palm Springs wedding was the perfect way to celebrate Lauren and Niles’ special day. Music has always been such a huge part of not only their relationship but their lives, as Lauren works for Netflix as a music producer! As a way to pay homage to the weekend they met, they incorporated subtle but ingenious hints of Coachella around La Quinta Country Club and we all had SO much fun finding all of them.

Kismet

Lauren and Niles had found me on Instagram while searching for venues in Palm Springs for their Coachella inspired, Palm Springs wedding. Then, they  just so happened upon one of my blogs from their friend’s wedding! It was obviously meant to be. They decided to go with my Engagement session and Wedding Photography package which I was so excited about, because it really gives us time to get to know one another, feel comfortable around the camera together, and learn what kind of photos you fall to the knees over. You can see the photos from their engagement session at Moorten Botanical Gardens here!

The Perfect Backdrop

When searching for the perfect backdrop for their Coachella inspired, Palm Springs wedding, they knew they had to be nestled right in the Coachella Valley. An obvious first choice was where they shared their first kiss, at  the Empire Polo Club where Coachella  is held! While they explored this venue, it was unfortunately unavailable, so we had to continue the search. When we came upon the La Quinta Country Club and saw the INSANE views, completely surrounded by the Coachella mountains, we knew it was perfect. Getting to share their first kiss as boyfriend and girlfriend, AND husband and wife in the same valley was truly a full circle moment.

The Love is in the Details

Spending every year at Coachella together, it’s obvious that music ties them together. So when making their Coachella inspired, Palm Springs wedding extra special, they had to imprint little musical details everywhere. Some really cute moments were things like floral bridesmaids dresses instead of flower crowns, custom illustrations of Coachella on their invitations, song lyrics on cocktail napkins, each table being named after their favorite music act and their custom menus with “opening acts” as appetizers and “headliners” as entrees. Possibly my favorite musical moment of the night though was their custom seating chart or “will call” made of  Coachella wristbands specific for every guest! Absolutely adorable!! Check out my IG Reel of all these special details here

I had the honor of co-planning a lot of photo details with Lauren’s mom, Mary, who was such a bright light during the whole process. I really got to know her throughout the 2 years and on the wedding day, she had a hand-knit, embroidered sweater gift for my baby boy (I DIE). When I first met up with Lauren and Niles, I joked that I was bff’s with her mom at that point because of how much we DM’d on Instagram and chatted throughout the process. What was so  beautiful was getting to connect with them as a couple as well & seeing how *CRAZY* they are for each other. I’ll let the photos tell the story from here…

Having a theme can be very tough to pull off, but Lauren and Niles absolutely nailed it at every turn with this Coachella inspired, Palm Springs wedding. Especially when seeing just how important music is to them, it makes you feel like, even as the wedding photographer, you are a part of something much bigger than just a wedding. You’re taking part in the moments that they will remember forever, and I couldn’t be more honored to be trusted by them.
