You might remember Emetisse + Payum from their loving session at the dunes. After hanging out with them in the desert, their wedding day was one I couldn’t wait to capture. The Parker is one of those venues with a modern and eclectic vibe in the middle of sunny palm trees where creative dreams come true. Getting to photograph a wedding at The Parker Palm Springs was on my bucket list since I became a photographer and I’m forever grateful I finally got to do it!
A few favorite things from their day: learning about Persian traditions, Em + Payum’s first look at the bar as an ode to their first date, and the epic dance party that was NEVER-ending. Em, whose aesthetics for design are impeccable, designed the prettiest tabletop for their traditional Sofreh Aghd ceremony. Later, we got to see special members of the family pass the cake-cutting knife around in a fun dance called Raghseh Chagoo. Once Payem gifted the knife dancer something special, t+ + E would get the knife to cut the cake. So much love, laughter and beauty, who wouldn’t want to experience this wedding day over and over?
