EMILY + MICHAEL
What can I say about this day besides I LOVED IT SO MUCH?!
Emily + Michael wanted a down-to-Earth intimate wedding day with their closest friends and family, with hints of their eclectic personalities in every detail, and boy was it a beautiful day to capture. Emily is originally from Australia, so her family flew all the way from down under to take part in their nuptials at Copley’s Palm Springs. The couple also loves Palm Springs so much that they rented out an old custom built home called “The Rock House” to have a stay-cation in California after they said and sang their I Do’s. Yes, I said sang, since Michael is a musician and gave a heartfelt serenade to his lady, singing his vows to her. Everyone’s heart melted instantly at this romantic gesture (including mine, trying to hold back those tears, ya’ll)!
What I loved most was how Emily and Michael easily infused bits of their personality into their day. Emily’s bouquet, filled to the brim with Protea, which is a flower native to Australia. Emily’s entire art deco-inspired ensemble, from the custom made emerald gown byShareen Bridal, her green studded hair piece, to the vintage ring on her finger from Trumpet & Horn. Michael hand wrote the wording on their art-deco invitations, which were also screen printed by the couple themselves. Michael’s personal touch by singing his vows to Emily was probably my favorite. The entire day, head to toe, beginning to end, was a beautiful reflection of their personalities.
Second most, I adored getting to hang with them + get creative all around Palm Springs. We even stopped by Doug Aitken’s Art Installation, “Mirage,” for a quick couple of photos. It was a magical day!
Congrats E + M <3
