I like to look at maternity sessions as love sessions between two loving parents and a little babe on the way. When Anna first reached out to me about her bohemian inspiration for the shoot in Joshua Tree, I was instantly sold. After getting to know Anna and Micah, their kind hearts and patient excitement for the growth of their family had me excited that I had taken the opportunity to photograph them. It’s a different vibe you’re stepping into for a session like this. Everything is a little more calm, patient, and gentle. There is a quiet reflection with every move because of the little babe you’re awaiting. Talking about it gets me excited for my own someday, which I guess is why I think having love sessions together like this is so important, as opposed to your typical maternity session. Sending your family all my love!
