You might remember this adorable couple from their Palm Springs + Joshua Tree engagement last year! You can see that here if you want more inspiration on what to wear for a modern boho chic style in the desert. But definitely keep scrolling, because the bohemian, cool-girl goodness does not stop there!
Can I just say, Alexa and Luke are real life angels. Both of them have hearts of gold and care deeply for their family and friends, which is why they kept their wedding day as intimate as possible. Their wedding was held at Luke’s parents’ gorgeous private estate in the hills of Los Angeles, where all their bohemian garden wedding dreams came true. I’m in awe of Alexa’s unique style; she paired celestial accessories, with an off-white tassel choker, gorgeous cream heels and a two piece off the shoulder wedding gown, from Grace Loves Lace, that is to die for. Alexa’s “something blue” was a handmade ring from Peru, gifted to her by her mom. My jaw dropped when I first saw that they had a custom crescent moon band made to go with her incredible engagement ring. Luke was dapper as ever in a navy blue tux and even had his family dog, Samson, wear a matching bow-tie, which I personally think is such a cute way of incorporating him into the wedding!
One of my favorite parts of this day was when they had their first look. Alexa had some nerves to shake and getting to see Luke before the ceremony immediately took the weight off her shoulders. It’s beautiful that a person can do that for you, and even better when you’re about to marry that person. Alexa had even mentioned to me one of her favorite things about Luke, besides “literally everything” (hehe), is his ability to put a smile on her face no matter what. From there on, they were both all smiles and more ready than ever to become husband and wife. During their ceremony, they took the time to turn away from the crowd and pray in private together. Their devotion to each other comes from a strong foundation of a devotion to their faith, so this moment was precious to witness. After their ceremony, we drove down the street to chase the sunlight and give Alexa and Luke a moment to themselves! It’s crucial to take time during your wedding to be alone together. I just want to give a shout out to both Luke and Alexa for trekking up a mountain with me to catch the sun before it dipped below the hills! Girlfriend had 3 inch heels on and Luke was a sweetheart to carry her back down the steep hill after we had our fun. You two are the absolute best and I’m so incredibly happy for your beautiful marriage. I’ll quit blabbering now and let ya’ll feast your eyes on this ridiculously beautiful, love-filled wedding day. xoxo
